How can digital content gain the kinds of value we associate with physical artifacts? The Tangible Web project is developing new types of data that evolve in response to their social context. Imagine what it would mean to feel the presence of fellow audience members at a Youtube screening, to perceive the age of a Flickr photo, or to recognize the patina of an article that has passed through many hands.
